Yamaha has launched the rally version of its famous middle-weight adventure bike, the Tenere 700. This model will be sold alongside the standard model but will be priced a bit more.
The Tenere 700 Rally Edition has been inspired from the bikes that Yamaha raced in Dakar in 1983 and 1984. That’s why the gets the special blue paint scheme along with black graphics and a yellow number board. The bike also gets golden wheels that was seen on the first-generation XT600Z Teneres.
The Japanese maker has equipped this edition with some additional cycle parts. The bike sports an alloy skid plate, new aluminium radiator protectors and a matching chain guard. Other bits like LED indicators, rubber grip pads, off-road bar grips and rally seat are also seen on the bike. The bike also gets an Akrapovic slip-ons that is claimed to improve the torque performance of the bike.
The Tenere 700 Rally Edition will go on sale in Europe next month. Unfortunately, this bike won’t come to India as the company doesn’t sell the brand in India, even though there’s a big market for the bike.
