- Tenere 700 recalled in the US
- Issue related to the front brake
- Fix will be provided free of cost
Yamaha has issued a recall in the US for its famous adventure motorcycle – the Tenere 700. The recall is related to the bike's front brake.
According to the recall notice, the front brake calipers could have been assembled using bolts with an incorrect thread length. These bolts could damage the mounting hole threads upon repeated removal and reinstallation. There's a possibility of the brake losing effectiveness, and this could detach the front brake caliper. This could lead to a possible crash due to no braking power.
Currently, 211 bikes have been affected by the issue, which was manufactured between 27 August 2022 and 29 August 2022. The Japanese brand will contact the affected customers and ask them to bring the bike for a checkup. The technician will check the front brake caliper and take necessary action. This activity will be free of cost.
The Tenere 700 is one of the most sought-after adventure bikes in the country. Sadly, Yamaha India has yet to make plans to bring this bike to India in the immediate future. But this motorcycle has massive potential because almost all brands sell their ADVs in India.
