- Tenere Raid 700 pictures leaked
- Gets two fuel tanks
- Revised design
Yamaha showcased the prototype version of the Tenere Raid 700 last year at EICMA 2021. This variant is a more hardcore variant of the already successful middleweight-adventure bike.
Now according to leaked patent pictures, this hardcore version will hit the production line but with some changes. It is clear from the pictures that the Tenere Raid 700 will get some major bodywork changes. The Tenere gets two fuel tanks placed on each side – rather than a single tank seen on the standard variant. This Dakar inspiration changes is bound to give the Yamaha a drastic riding range increase.
The seat is new and now extends all the way up to the fuel tank. This would help the rider a lot of options to shift their weight around. The footpegs, bellypan are all new. The Raid also gets a wider nose around the headlight. There are wind deflectors on either side or a taller screen above. But the high-mounted front fender that was seen in the prototype is missing.
Other cycle parts like brakes, suspension, wheels, tyres – are all from the standard version. But there’s high chance of more capable to be offered as an accessories for riders who plan to take the Raid to some iconic rallies.
We are expecting the Japanese brand to unveil the production variant sometime this year. Unfortunately, Yamaha India has no plans of bringing this capable machine to India anytime soon.
