- 2020 Fascino, Ray ZR launch tomorrow
- Will receive styling, mechanical upgrades
- Side-stand feature will come as standard
Yamaha will finally launch the 2020 versions of the Fascino and the Ray ZR in India tomorrow. Both the scooters will get aesthetic as well as mechanical upgrades.
The facelift Fascino will receive larger and smoother body panels along with redesigned grab rail and tail lamp. The seat will be wider and a bit longer as well. This modern-retro designed scooter is likely to get a lot of chrome accents and LED headlamps. The new Fascino will sport alloy wheels and is likely to get a larger 12-inch wheel at the front. The Ray ZR is likely to get some major design upgrades as well.
In terms of engine, both the scooter will get BS6 compliant motors. So expect the power figures to go down marginally. The prices of these scooters are likely to be increased by a few thousand rupees. But to justify this price increase, Yamaha will equip these scooters with a ‘side stand switch’ feature. This features prevents the engine to start till the side stand is pulled up completely.
The Japanese maker will also showcase the BS6 FZ V3 and the BS6 YZF-R15 alongside the facelifted Fascino and the Ray ZR. We will be riding these Yamaha two-wheelers as well. So stay tuned to BikeWale.
