- New two-wheeler launch on 21 January
- Likely to be FZ V 3.0
- MT15 could be launched in mid-2019
Yamaha is gearing up to launch a new two-wheeler on 21 January. The company has sent a launch invitation to BikeWale for the same.
While the Japanese manufacturer didn’t reveal more about this launch, it’s likely to be of a new motorcycle. This new motorcycle could be the upgraded FZ which has been spied a few times over the last few months. The current model, the FZ V 2.0 has been doing well for the company, but it looks like the company is planning to give it a major upgrade along with the ABS.
The upcoming FZ is likely to get a redesigned front, along with a new LED headlamp unit. The tank extensions could be revised to make it look more muscular. A few more cosmetic changes could be seen on the upgraded FZ, which is likely to be called the FZ V 3.0. Just like the current models, the FZ V 3.0 will be joined by the FZ-S V 3.0 model as well. The latter gets better graphics and bigger windscreen. The 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine is likely to remain the same. But expect it to be BSVI ready.
There are rumours about a possible launch of the MT15 in India as well. But the bike hasn’t been spotted testing in India yet, which makes us believe that the launch is still some months away.
