Yamaha Motor India has announced revised pricing for its range of motorcycles and scooters in India with immediate effect. The slashed prices now range from Rs 1,033 to Rs 3,066 depending on the variants of the bike.
The Japanese bike manufacturer has decided to pass on all the benefits to the dealers. This will apply to their existing as well as stock ordered and in transit to empower them to pass on the benefits to the customers immediately. As an effect of the reduction of excise duty by 4 per cent, the previous duty imposed was 12 per cent which stands revised at 8 per cent currently.
Commenting on the occasion, Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales said, “The announcement from the FM comes at a very opportune time when the sentiments are high right after the Auto Expo and the industry is seeing an upward trend. We are glad to be passing on the entire benefit to our customers by creating a favorable arrangement with our dealers. As a responsible manufacturer we believe in being transparent to both dealers and our end customers. With this decision, we aim to further enhance our sales and achieve greater levels of customer satisfaction.”
