Yamaha has unveiled a new scooter, the Majesty S that will join the D’elight and Xenter in the European markets. This stylish scooter has been designed for urban commuters who are also looking for adequate performance.
The Yamaha Majesty’s overall design cues look very masculine. It is equipped with an LED position lamp and taillight that has been inspired from the Vmax. The scooter gets a neatly designed instrument cluster that features a three-gauge design that displays a range of information via the analog tachometer, tripmeter and digital speedometer. The scooter is equipped with 267mm front disc and 245cc rear disc brakes that provide adequate stopping power. Yamaha has given the Majesty S telescopic suspension in the front and a monoshock at the rear for increased agility.
The scooter gets a flat footboard area and stepped dual seat which gives a relaxed riding position, and also allows for easy leg access to the ground. The Japanese manufacturer claims that the Majesty S is ideally suited to the typical stop-start nature of urban riding. An automatic seat opening device gives quick access to the storage compartment that can easily store a half-face helmet.
The Majesty S is powered by a 125cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine churns out 11.80bhp and maximum torque of 11.6Nm and is mated to a CVT. Yamaha claims that the engine has been tuned to deliver punchy and responsive acceleration. The scooter will be sold in three colour options – silky white, mat titan and midnight black.
