- Special-edition Yamaha MT125 breaks cover
- Gets loads of accessories
- Competes against KTM 125 Duke, Honda CB125
Yamaha has unveiled a special-edition MT125 at the ongoing Osaka Motorcycle Show 2023. This model comes loaded to the brim with accessories that is expected to feature in the motorcycle’s catalogue. That said, we can also expect the international version of the MT15 to receive these accessories which could possibly trickle down to India as well.
First up is the windscreen that is short yet wide- almost similar to what the MT10 comes with. The special edition MT125 also gets adjustable levers done in anodized Yamaha Blue colour. In addition to this, it also comes with an aluminum crankcase cover fitted for extra protection. What’s more the MT125 is also equipped with a rear fender eliminator kit. But the heart of the party is the full-system Akrapovic exhaust with a carbon-fiber tip.
Other than these accessories, the MT125 Special also comes with a new paint scheme that combines Yamaha Blue with Cyan. Well, for 2023 Yamaha has also added features like a traction control system and TFT instrumentation to the MT125. While it is not sold in India, and is unlikely to be sold here, you could opt for the Yamaha MT-15 that also gets a traction control system in its 2023 version. Well, the 125cc performance commuter segment in international markets is quite crowded which means the MT125 goes up against the KTM 125 Duke, Honda CB125, Kawasaki Z125 and the Suzuki GSX125 as well.
