- 2022 Yamaha XSR700 revealed
- Gets cosmetic updates
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Yamaha has taken the wraps off the 2022 XSR700 at the ongoing EICMA 2021. Although unlike the 2022 XSR900 which received substantial updates like-new electronics and a new design, the smaller model gets minor updates.
And these come in the form of a new full-LED headlight that looks more compact than the unit on the previous model. Yamaha has adorned it with a new black and gold paint scheme called XTribute. It also gets a Euro5- compliant 689cc, parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank. This engine churns out 73bhp and is the same motor on the MT-07, Tenere 700, and R7. In addition to that, the 2022 XSR700 also comes with larger front discs. The cockpit layout has also been revised but continues with the dark-theme LCD.
While the Yamaha XSR700 is an interesting product, now refreshed a bit, it is unlikely to make its way to India anytime soon. Although, if launched, it would take on the Kawasaki Z650RS and the Triumph Street Twin here.
