- Yamaha YZF R15 V4 prices increased
- Becomes dearer by Rs 3,000
- Prices start from Rs 1,70,800 now
Yamaha Motor India has increased the prices of what could be perceived as its most popular offering, the YZF R15 V4. This is the first price hike it has received since its launch in September, 2021.
The motorcycle was launched with prices starting from Rs 1,67,800 for the base variant. Starting this month, Yamaha has made all the versions of the R15 V4 more expensive by Rs 3,000. Mentioned below are the variant-wise ex-showroom Delhi prices of the motorcycle:
R15 V4 Metallic Red: Rs 1,70,800
R15 V4 Dark Knight: Rs 1,71,800
R15 V4 Racing Blue: Rs 1,75,800
R15 V4 Metallic Grey: Rs 1,80,800
R15 V4 Monster Energy MotoGP Edition: Rs 1,82,800
The Yamaha R15 might come across as a very expensive product, considering its displacement of 155cc. However, the kind of premium experience it delivers is hard to match with any other motorcycle in this segment. It sports a big bike-like design that’s inspired by the middle weight supersport, the YZF R7. Then there are first-in-class features like traction control and quick shifter (optional) along with other goodies like an assist and slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS.
Where it truly wows you is in terms of engine performance. The 155cc, liquid-cooled engine gets variable valve actuation (VVA) functionality that helps the engine rev freely in the top end. It produces 18.1bhp of power and 14.2Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The hardware package is also premium with components like upside-down forks, an aluminium swingarm, and a delta box frame.
