- Yamaha hikes prices of YZF R15 V4
- New prices applicable from this month
- Third price hike since its launch
Yamaha Motor India has increased the prices of one of its most popular motorcycles in India, the YZF R15 V4, starting April, 2022 onwards. All the variants of the bike, except for the Monster Energy MotoGP edition, have received a hike of around Rs 1,500 and the most affordable red colour variant is now priced at Rs 1,76,300. The variant-wise ex-showroom prices of the motorcycle are mentioned below:
Metallic Red: Rs 1,76,300
Dark Knight: Rs 1,77,300
Racing Blue: Rs 1,81,300
MotoGP edition (M): Rs 1,82,800
Metallic Grey (M): Rs 1,86,300
It’s worth noting that this is the third price hike the R15 V4 has received ever since its launch in September last year. The last increment was recorded in January this year when all variants of the motorcycle became more expensive by Rs 2,000. However, these price hikes are unlikely to hamper its popularity given the unique package that it is.
The main highlight of the YZF R15 V4 is its 155cc, liquid-cooled engine that gets variable valve actuation and churns out 18.1bhp of power and 14.2Nm of peak torque. Furthermore, there are a bunch of standout first-in-class features such as an assist and slipper clutch, a traction control system, and a quick shifter (standard in the M variant).
The Yamaha YZF R15 V4 doesn’t have any direct rivals in India yet. The closest that comes to it in terms of styling and purpose is the KTM RC 200. We have compared both bikes comprehensively and you can read the comparison review here.
