The spec-sheet of the highly anticipated Yamaha YZF R25 has been leaked ahead of its global unveiling in Indonesia. Since the concept was unveiled last year, the bike has gained a lot of attention and has been snapped testing in Indonesia numerous times. While it has been known for a while that the YZF R25 would be getting a twin-cylinder engine, some important details of the motorcycle have now been revealed.
The new Yamaha YZF R25 has switched to a new tubular diamond frame instead of the famed Deltabox as seen on the R15 and the R125. This new chassis would put Yamaha on a level playing field with competitors like the Ninja 300 and the CBR 250R who use a similar setup. The YZF R25 uses a beefy 41mm telescopic front fork unit. While the design cues have moved away from the famed M1, the YZF R25 seems to be built with an intent to decimate competition on the racetrack. The high-revving short stroke motor and the peaky power delivery suggests that this would be one fun motorcycle to ride.
More details on the Yamaha YZF R25 will soon be revealed as the bike is going to be officially revealed in a few hours. The YZF R25 concept was unveiled in India at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo and the production model is expected to be launched here later in the year.
