Yamaha India recently announced the asking price for its latest 300cc offerings in the country, the YZF-R3 and the MT-03. We will talk about the R3 in this story and how much it could cost in your city including a few additional charges.
For reference, the Yamaha YZF-R3 was launched in India at Rs. 4,64,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). So the aforementioned prices are inclusive of the RTO and insurance charges. But these could also vary as per your local dealer and choice of insurance. With the said asking price, the Yamaha R3 is 54,900 more expensive than the recently launched Aprilia RS457 and about Rs. 1.46 lakh costlier than the KTM RC 390.
The Yamaha YZF-R3 gets a 321cc parallel-twin cylinder engine and it makes 40.4bhp and 29.4Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox. On the feature front, the R3 gets LED illumination, an LCD, and dual-channel ABS. Unlike its rivals, the Japanese supersport comes sans smartphone connectivity, traction control, ride modes, or the quickshifter.
It rides in USD front forks, and a monoshock and its braking hardware includes a single front and rear disc mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in Dunlop tyres.
