Yamaha has unveiled the limited-edition YZF-R1 Petronas SRT for the European market. The motorcycle, which will be limited to just 46 units, features with an array of high-performance upgrades. The replica bike commemorates the 46th anniversary of the team’s title sponsor, Petronas. Here we bring you a detailed image gallery of the YART-engineered replica YZF-R1.
The limited-edition model features a new light and durable Genuine Yamaha Technology for Racing (GYTR) carbon fairing kit and MotoGP winglets. The upgrades aim to bring the specifications closer to the Yamaha MotoGP bike, the YZR-M1.
The limited-edition Petronas Yamaha SRT livery is supplied by the same company that paint the team's MotoGP race machines.
The replica is also equipped with high-performance Öhlins race suspension, including the FGRT 2 road & track front fork, TTX rear shock and a race specification steering damper.
The Petronas Yamaha SRT replica features the latest rear quick-change system, racing footrests, factory kit exhaust, ECU and quick action throttle.
The replica features Brembo GP4-RX callipers and T-Drive discs, remote brake adjuster and clutch lever, Michelin race slicks and seven-spoke aluminium Marchesini wheels. All bikes will get their unique identification number engraved on the CNC machined top yoke.
Each customer will receive an exclusive package comprising a KYT Helmet, a Petronas Yamaha SRT polo shirt and an opportunity for a VIP guest pass for the MotoGP round of their choice.
