- To sport livery inspired by the YZR-M1.
- Likely to be launched in the next couple of months.
- Gets no mechanical changes.
The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 is likely to get a cosmetic update soon, just a few months after its launch in the country.
The bike will sport the standard blue and black colour scheme although with graphics inspired by the YZR-M1; the manufacturer’s MotoGP machine. It will get the Movistar logo on the side fairings and fascia while the ENEOS logo will feature on the belly pan.
Apart from the new livery the bike remains the same. It is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with variable valve actuation (VVA) technology. This unit produces 18.7bhp and 15Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch.
The MotoGp edition of the YZF-R15 V3 is already on sale in South East Asian countries. However, unlike the international spec model which sports inverted front forks, the Indian version will continue with the conventionally mounted setup. The bike is currently offered in two paint schemes- Thunder Grey and Racing Blue with a price tag of Rs 1.25 lakhs. The MotoGP edition is expected to be launched in the next couple of months and is likely to demand a slightly higher price tag.
