- To be launched in next couple of weeks.
- Gets MotoGP inspired livery.
- Will feature no mechanical changes.
Yamaha has teased a new variant of the YZF-R15 V3. This new variant sports livery that has been inspired from Yamaha’s MotoGP bike, the YZF-M1.
It gets the standard blue and black colour scheme with the Movistar and ENEOS logos. Movistar, a telecommunications company and ENEOS, a petroleum company have been associated with Yamaha's MotoGP team since a long time. The bike also sports the Yamalube logo on the side fairing. The MotoGP variant is only a cosmetic change and the bike remains the same mechanically. It uses a 155cc, single-cylinder, engine that produces 18.7bhp and 15Nm of torque. This unit gets the variable valve actuation (VVA) technology and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch.
The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP variant is likely to be available in limited numbers. It will also demand a slight premium over the standard bike which retails at Rs 1.26 lakhs. We can expect the bike to be launched in India in the next couple of weeks.
