The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 has bagged the award of India Design Mark (I Mark) by the Indian Design Council. This is the second time that India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. has received this award for the YZF-R15 model.
The YZF-R15 V3.0 was selected by the Council due to the strong response that motorcycle has been garnering. In January 2019, the company upgraded the motorcycle with dual-channel ABS, which was done keeping in mind the customer-driven approach for the Indian market.
The Indian Design Council is an independent body of the Government of India that was initiated by the India Design Mark in cooperation with Japan Institute of Design Promotion. It has been charged with the agenda to make India a design enabled nation. The India Design Mark represents the excellence of a product on factors like form, function, quality, safety, sustainability and innovation while communicating that the product is usable, durable, aesthetically appealing and socially responsible.
