Yamaha launched the YZF-R15 V3.0 in India recently at a price of Rs 1.25 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike not only sports a slightly bigger engine as compared to its previous counterpart but also gets an all new body built around its famed perimeter frame. The bike sports aggressive styling that is derived from its bigger siblings, the YZF-R1 and the YZF-R6.
Yamaha has gone with the trend and given the bike LED lighting for the twin headlamp and LED tail lamp.
The LCD instrument console displays gear position indicator, average speed recorder and a customisable shift light among the basic information.
It gets a sporty riding position thanks to the rear set footpegs and low set clip-on handlebars.
The edgy fairing and sculpted 11-litre fuel tank add to the sporty appeal of the YZF-R15 V3.0.
It rides on 43mm telescopic forks at the front instead of the upside down forks that feature on the international version.
Braking at the front is done by a 282mm disc brake while a 220mm disc takes care of braking at the rear. However, it misses out on ABS.
The YZF-R15 V3.0 is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder, VVA engine that produces 19bhp and 14.7Nm of torque via a six-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch.
The bike is available in two colour combinations- blue with black and grey with red.
