The Monster Energy MotoGP variant of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 has been sold out in the Indian market. With this, the company has removed the motorcycle from its India website. However, while Yamaha Motor India has confirmed that the product has been sold out, it did not share the exact number of units that were sold in our market.
The YZF-R15M Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition was available at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 1,82,800. This variant featured YZR-M1-inspired decals that brought Monster Energy and ENEOS logos to the motorcycle. The changes, however, were limited to the styling. The feature list, on the other hand, was identical to the standard YZF-R15M. Thus, the motorcycle featured a single-pod headlight with twin-LED DRLs, full-fairing, a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, and a side-slung exhaust.
The mechanical specifications, similar to the rest of the variants, included the BS6-compliant 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 18.1bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm.
While the MotoGP edition is no longer available, Yamaha Motor India is offering the YZF-R15 V4 World GP 60th Anniversary edition in our market. This version gets a special livery featuring Yamaha’s white and red ‘speed block’ colour scheme. Furthermore, it also features golden alloy wheels, the brand’s factory race bike tuning fork emblem, black levers, and special badging on the fuel tank.
The World GP 60th Anniversary edition remains unaffected by the most recent price hike, and it is available at Rs 1,88,300.
All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi
