- To be launched in a glossy white paint theme
- Will be based on the standard version of the motorcycle
- Launch details unavailable yet
Yamaha Motor India recently showcased several motorcycles to its dealers in the country, and the list included the YZF-R15 V4 in a new paint option. This 155cc KTM RC200-rivalling model from Yamaha Motor India was seen in a glossy white colour with orange paint for the alloy wheels and grey graphics on the fairing. This new paint theme will join the existing palette that currently comprises three options – Metallic Red, Dark Knight, and Racing Blue.
A close inspection of the hardware indicates that this is the standard version of the motorcycle, and it thus features bulb-type turn indicators instead of LED units that are seen on the M variant. Further, similar to the existing standard versions, this new paint theme will come equipped with an LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. Apart from the regular ride-related information, this console shows data such as fuel economy, average speed, traction control setting, and a lap timer. Meanwhile, the Bluetooth module brings additional functions such as call alert, SMS and e-mail alert, phone battery level, and last parked location.
Notably, the company has already launched the 2023 range in the Indian market that uses the 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with VVA technology. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 18.1bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm.
The new paint option should arrive at a similar price tag as the existing options. The Metallic Red paint is currently the most affordable option on the list and is priced at Rs. 1,80,900. The Dark Knight and Racing Blue themes are available at Rs. 1,81,900 and Rs. 1,85,900, respectively.
