- 2023 Yamaha Fluo 125 breaks cover
- Powered by a 9.6bhp-producing 125cc engine
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Yamaha has taken the wraps off the 2023 Fluo 125 for the Brazilian market. This is the same scooter that is being sold in Indonesia as the FreeGo but with a few changes over the latter.
The design and styling of the Yamaha Fluo resemble that of the previous-gen Yamaha Ray Z that was sold in India with a rear-end similar to that of the Aprilia SR125 that is on sale now. Nonetheless, the Fluo 125 looks sharp all through and comes with some funky, dual-tone colour schemes to match its appeal.
Underneath, the Yamaha Fluo comes powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 9.6bhp and 10.3Nm of torque- numbers that are similar to what you see on the Ray ZR 125 and the Fascino 125 sold in our country. However, it gets comparatively better features. To begin with, the Fluo 125 is equipped with ABS as standard. You also get 25-litres of underseat storage and a USB charging socker. That said, there is full-LED lighting and a small digital instrument cluster as well.
The Fluo 125 does seem like an interesting scooter and would go up against the TVS Ntorq 125 in our market but with similar scooters like the Ray ZR 125 already present, the chances of it coming to India are pretty slim.
