Yamaha's upcoming facelifted version of the FZ-S was spied testing again on the Greater Noida Expressway. This time we have a clear picture of the bike confirming that it is the same FZ-S concept that was displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo.
This version of the FZ-S is the updated variant of the standard model of the outgoing FZ. The bike gets the exact design of the concept FZ-S exhibited at the Auto Expo. The blue coloured concept showcased at the biennial event portrayed the sharper and meaner looks. The spy picture seen here clearly depicts these design traits with a well-sculpted tank, headlamp, minor changes to the rear section, new tail lamp, different exhaust, new rear mudguard and a revised registration plate.
Yamaha might not make any changes to the mechanical bits and the facelifted model of the FZ-S might be powered by the same air-cooled 153 cc single-cylinder mill that produces 14bhp of power and 13.6Nm of torque. The manufacturer might introduce a fuel-injection system and retune the engine to produce some additional power.
We can expect the company to introduce this facelifted FZ within a couple of months. In a bid to appeal to the prospective buyers and cash in more sales, the manufacturer might make this variant available in bright new colours and decals.
