- Yezdi’s Meteor 350 rival spotted
- Likely to be named Roadking
- Could be launched in India sometime in 2022
The Yezdi Motorcycle brand is set to make a comeback to the Indian market under the umbrella of Classic Legends- the company that also owns Jawa. And for the event, the iconic brand is looking to introduce three different motorcycles; one of which will go up against the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
Now, this motorcycle will be called the Yezdi Roadking. As seen in the spy images, the Roadking bears a striking resemblance to the Meteor. It seems to feature an oval tank, circular mirrors, indicators and headlamp, and a curved rear fender. It even gets a tall windscreen like on the top-spec Meteor Supernova variant. Moreover, the Yezdi Roadking also sports hints of chrome on its engine and a chrome exhaust for the retro look.
On the other hand, the motorcycle is also expected to be offered in a blacked-out, custom-inspired version. Unlike the standard Roadking, this model lets go of the pillion backrest and windscreen and opts for bar-end mirrors instead. Nonetheless, both sport alloy wheels, similar bodywork, and seats.
While details are yet to be revealed, the motorcycles are expected to come powered by the Jawa Perak’s 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 30.64bhp and 32.74Nm. We can expect Classic Legends to make an announcement soon and launch the Yezdi brand in the country sometime in early 2022.
