- Yezdi adventure tourer spied again
- Boasts design similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan
- Official launch could take place on 13 January 2022
After reincarnating the Jawa brand in India, Classic Legends is now all set to bring back the iconic Yezdi brand in India. Scheduled to be introduced on 13 January, 2022, there will be multiple models sold under this banner. One of these is an adventure tourer that has been undergoing road tests for a while. After being spied a couple of times before, one of its test mules was recently sighted on the road once again.
The Yezdi adventure tourer will compete against the Royal Enfield Himalayan. Strangely, the former looks quite similar to the latter in terms of design. It gets a round headlamp, a tall windscreen, beak-style front fender, jerry can holders, saddles stays, and a rear luggage rack. Even the exhaust canister seems to be inspired by the Himalayan.
Going by the rider’s seating posture in the spy shots, the Yezdi ADV offers comfortable ergonomics with centre-set footpegs and an easy-to-reach handlebar. The wheels look like a 19-17-inch combination with spokes, suspended by a long-travel setup. Braking hardware comprises a single disc at both ends. As for the engine, it is likely to be borrowed from the existing Jawa Perak bobber. This 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor produces 30bhp and 32.74Nm in the Perak.
Besides this adventure tourer, Classic Legends was spotted testing two more Yezdi models including a scrambler and a cruiser that’s likely to be called the Roadking.
