Yoshimura has launched a new range of exhaust systems for the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR. Called Alpha T Street, this slip-on exhaust system improves the exhaust note while improving the torque spread.
While Yoshimura hasn’t revealed the exact jump in power output or the dyno chart, the company claims an improvement in the mid-range range torque which should improve the bike’s usability. Also, the Alpha T is lighter than a stock canister, which should further improve the performance. While the stock canister weighs 3kg, the stainless steel and titanium Alpha T canisters tip the scales at 1.9kg and 1.5kg respectively.
Yoshimura has also launched a fender eliminator kit which gives the CBR1000RR’s rear end a sleek and minimalistic look. This kit also gets a carbon fibre license plate holder and illuminator and has room to accommodate the stock turn signals.
The standard Street Alpha T stainless slip-on exhaust is priced at USD 499 (Rs 32,637), while the titanium canister costs USD 899 (Rs 58,799). The fender eliminator on the other hand, costs US 140 (Rs 9,156). We can expect this range to be available through Yoshimura’s official importers, Ultimate Auto Impex, once the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR is launched in India.
