- Weighs up to 3.6kg lesser than stock exhaust.
- Increases power by 2 per cent and torque by 1 per cent.
- Likely to be available in India sometime this year.
Yoshimura has launched the Alpha Street exhaust for the Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX in the USA.
The slip-on or bolt-on exhaust is available in two variants- carbon fibre and stainless steel. While the former weighs 2.1kg, the latter tips the scales at 2.6kg; around 3.6kg lesser than the stock exhaust. Yoshimura claims that the Alpha Street exhaust increases 2 per cent of horsepower and 1 per cent of torque on the Ninja H2 SX. That is a boost of 3.8bhp and 1.3Nm of torque, taking the total output to 197.8bhp and 138.6Nm of torque.
Similar to other aftermarket exhausts, we can expect the Alpha Street series to add a grunt to the Kawasaki’s supercharged, inline-four engine tune. While the stainless steel unit is priced at USD 549 (Rs 37,184), the carbon fibre exhaust retails at USD 649 (Rs 43,957) in the USA.
Yoshimura is expected to launch the Alpha Street series in other global markets by June. We can expect the exhaust systems to be available at Yoshimura’s official distributors, Ultimate Auto Impex sometime this year.
