With the launch of the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2R, we witnessed the introduction of one of the most expensive motorcycles in India. Whereas, the prices of the Yamaha FZ25 were slashed to a surprising extent. If you couldn’t take out time to stay updated with such interesting bike news last week, here’s a quick round-up.
2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2R launched
Kawasaki brought back its flagship offering, the Ninja H2R, to India in its 2021 avatar. The motorcycle can legally be ridden only around a race track and it sets you back by as much as Rs 79.90 lakh. For that astounding sum of money, you get a ferocious track tool with aerodynamic winglets, single seat, a one-sided swingarm, mirror coated matte spark black body paint. Above all, its 998cc, inline four-cylinder mill makes mind-numbing 305.7bhp of power ad 165Nm of peak torque.
In a jaw-dropping move, Yamaha reduced the prices of the FZ25 by nearly Rs 19,000! The standard and S trims are priced at Rs 1,34,800 and Rs 1,39,300, respectively. That makes the former cheaper by Rs 18,800 and the latter by Rs 19,300 as compared to their previous prices. The company stated that it managed to decrease the input costs, thereby passing on the benefits to its customers.
2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 spied
The next-generation model of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 continues to be spied ahead of its official launch. We got our hands on a video last week that comprised a walk around the bike. Thanks to the bike being spied umpteen times till now, we already a lot about it. But this video showed something new in the form of a red-coloured seat which could be one of the premium colour variants.
Yezdi Roadking trademark filed
Classic Legends’ Jawa bikes will be joined by Yezdi models in the near future. The company filed a trademark for the name Yezdi Roadking, which was a highly popular motorcycle in the olden days in India. With a design inspired by the original Roadking, Classic Legends is expected to bestow this bike with mechanical components similar to the existing Jawa Standard and Forty-Two.
Ducati has teased the arrival of the BS6 model of the Panigale V4 sportsbike in India. It is likely to arrive this month while bookings have already commenced at Rs 1 lakh. Similar to the previous model, this too will come in two variants – standard and S, with the latter being equipped with more premium cycle parts. Besides its stonking 208bhp, 1103cc V4, Desmosedici Stradale motor, the Panigale’s electronics package is also insane with things like launch control, slide control, engine brake control and much more.
