From big bikes to electric scooters, the last week brought along a variety of products in the Indian two-wheeler market. We even saw the Yamaha YZF R15 V4 getting new colours in Indonesia. There were more such updates worth paying heed to and we list down the top five of them.
2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R launch
Kawasaki introduced the new 2022 edition of the Ninja ZX-10R in India. For the new model year, the Japanese bike maker has introduced two new colour options including Lime Green and Metallic Diablo Black. These new colours and graphics demand a premium of Rs 15,000 over the previous model since the 2022 edition costs Rs 15.14 lakh.
Harley-Davidson Sportster S launch
Harley-Davidson has launched the Sportster S in India at the India Bike Week with a price tag of Rs 15.51 lakh. It looks radical with an oval-shaped headlamp, bar-end mirrors, high-set dual exhausts and chunky tyres. Its biggest highlight is the 1250cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine that does duty on the Pan America 1250 as well. The motor has been tuned to suit the Sportster S’s character and churns out 119.3bbhp and 127.4Nm.
The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler brand, Bounce, has launched its first electric scooter, the Infinity E1 in India. The e-scooter will be available with a unique ‘battery-as-a-service’ subscription plan and pre-bookings have already commenced for a refundable amount of Rs 499. It is propelled by a BLDC motor that reaches a top speed of around 65kmph and its 48V39Ah battery pack delivers a claimed range of 85km.
2022 KTM RC 390 launching soon
KTM India has confirmed via its social media handles that the 2022 RC 390 will be launched in our market very soon. While the company has not disclosed a launch date, we expect this new model to arrive in India this month. The new KTM RC 390 is already available in select international markets. However, the India-spec model could be slightly different from the international variant.
Yamaha has introduced the new 2022 edition of its small-size sportbike, the YZF R15 V4, in new colour options. Unfortunately, these colours haven’t made their way to India yet and have only been introduced in the Indonesian market. There are only four colours available in the country two of which two paint schemes are exclusive to the Indonesian market.
