The final week of 2022 was deprived of new product launches. However, there were a lot of interesting updates related to upcoming products like the next-generation KTM 390 Duke and a new electric motorcycle from Tork Motors. There were more such stories to pay heed to and we bring you a round-up of the top five of them.
KTM was spied testing a heavily camouflaged version of the next-generation 390 Duke in India. Despite the camouflage, it’s easy to decipher the new bodywork which looks beefier than the existing model. The motorcycle also gets major hardware changes like a revised frame and sub-frame, an altered swingarm, and new five-spoke alloy wheels. The motorcycle is likely to officially debut towards the end of 2023.
Ather could launch new e-scooter
Ather Energy is all set to host a grand event on 7 January 2023 in Bengaluru. Besides hosting a community day for its customers and media folks, the company is also expected to launch a new electric scooter. This product is likely to be a more affordable e-scooter than the existing 450X Gen 3. That means it might get a smaller battery pack and a shorter list of features.
Adishwar Auto Ride India is all set to announce the India entry of the Italian brand, MBP, at the 2023 Auto Expo. The first motorcycle from this brand is likely to be the M502N naked street bike which will be sold through Benelli dealerships, similar to Keeway offerings. Notably, this will be the sixth brand to be brought to India by the Adishwar group after Benelli, Keeway, Zontes, Moto Morini, and QJ Motor.
New Tork electric motorcycle incoming
Pune-based electric two-wheeler brand Tork Motors is geared up to launch a new electric motorcycle at the 2023 Auto Expo. At present, the company has two electric motorcycles in its portfolio - Kratos and Kratos R. The upcoming offering is likely to sit above the latter and become the most expensive product from the brand. So, expect it to boast better battery and motor specifications along with more features.
Royal Enfield has invested € 50 million in Stark Future – a Spanish company specializing in electric dirt bikes. As a part of this investment, Royal Enfield will own a 10.35 per cent stake in Stark Future and get a seat on the company’s board. Additionally, it plans to collaborate with Stark Future in electric mobility and build new tech and products for various markets.
