Multiple new two-wheeler launches along with some interesting image leaks made the last week quite eventful. While Yamaha’s new 2023 models grabbed a lot of attention on the internet, the hottest topic of discussion was the images of Harley-Davidson’s smallest India-bound motorcycle. In that case, let’s give you a quick recap of last week’s most important bike updates.
2023 Yamaha R15 V4, R15S, and MT 15 V2 launch
Yamaha updated its 155cc series of motorcycles for this year. The 2023 edition of the R15 V4 is now available in a new Intensity White colour option which gets a quick shifter as standard. The cheaper R15S, meanwhile, gets an updated console which is the same unit as used in the R15 V4. As for the MT 15, it has just received changes in the engine as per the BS6 phase 2 emission norms.
With the latest update, the Yamaha Aerox 155 became the first small-size scooter to receive a traction control system. Although not in the real world, the addition of TC gives the Aerox an edge over other scooters on paper. Another change, function-wise, is the inclusion of the OBD2 system which is mandatory from 1 April. Visually, the bodywork of the scooter remains unchanged, but it now comes in a new silver colour option.
The 2023 edition of the legendary Suzuki Hayabusa has been launched in India. Since it received its biggest update just last year, Suzuki has updated the bike’s colour palette only. The 2023 Hayabusa is now available in silver, white, and black shades with the former two boasting contrast-coloured accents. As for the pricing, the new Hayabusa will set you back by Rs 16.90 lakh.
As per our sources, the KTM 390 Adventure is all set to receive a few noteworthy updates in India soon. The motorcycle is likely to be available in multiple variants in the coming days. While one of these will have spoke wheels, the more premium trim will also get WP adjustable suspension. The official launch of the 2023 390 Adventure might take place next month. Although the prices of these variants aren’t known yet, we believe the hike will be substantial.
The smallest Harley-Davidson cruiser
Images of Harley-Davidson’s first made-in-India motorcycle were leaked online last week. As of now, it’s called the HD 4XX with ‘XX’ signifying its displacement. As per our knowledge, it will run on a 420cc engine with a six-speed gearbox. Although the overall design exudes a cruiser vibe, there are modern visual touches as well. Even the hardware is contemporary with USD forks, a fully-digital console, and LED lighting all around. The price of the bike is expected to be in the ballpark of Rs 2.5-3 lakh.
