The last week was quite action-packed for the Indian two-wheeler industry as it witnessed multiple new launches, price hikes, and a few other developments related to some popular products. In case you had a week too busy to be up to speed with these updates, here’s a quick round-up.
2024 BMW G310 line-up launched
BMW Motorrad India launched the 2024 iterations of its entry-level offerings, the G 310 R, G 310 GS, and the G310 RR. All of them just received a new colour option while the mechanical specifications remained the same. Powering the bikes is a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. All of them boast different bodywork and offer varying ergonomics depending on their purpose.
TVS Jupiter ZX Drum gets Bluetooth
TVS Motor Company equipped the Jupiter ZX Drum variant with Bluetooth connectivity. This version is priced at Rs 84,468 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it around Rs 2,300 more expensive than the older non-Bluetooth trim of the scooter. Now, this is the second Bluetooth-enabled variant of the Jupiter, apart from the more expensive ZX SmartXonnect trim that has been on sale for a long time now.
Suzuki introduced a new paint option for the Access 125 in India with a starting price of Rs 85,300. This colour option is called Pearl Shining Beige and features white and beige bodywork with a red seat. It is available on the top-end variant and the Special Edition as well. Other than this, there are 13 other paint options on offer.
Triumph Speed 400 dispatches begin
Triumph Motorcycles India announced that its newly launched, entry-level offering, the Speed 400, has started reaching the dealerships, and its deliveries have commenced in various cities across the country. These cities currently include Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad. The Speed 400 has received a positive response in the Indian market, and the first 10,000 units, which were available at a special discount, have already been sold out.
Harley-Davidson X440 price hike
Hero MotoCorp increased the prices of all three variants of the Harley-Davidson X440 by Rs. 10,500. The new prices have come into effect from 4 August, 2023. Following the increment, the base variant, which was previously priced at Rs 2.29 lakh, is now priced at Rs. 2.40 lakh. The mid-spec Vivid variant now costs Rs. 2.60 lakh while the top-end S model sets you back by Rs. 2.80 lakh.
