The Indian two-wheeler market witnessed an eventful week with three new launches taking place. While two of these were just the introduction of new colours, TVS launched the next-generation Jupiter. And just like every Sunday, we bring you a round-up of all such noteworthy bike updates from the last week.
TVS launched the new Jupiter 110 with prices starting from Rs. 73,700, almost the same as the previous iteration. It boasts a new design, additional features, and a chassis that is borrowed from the bigger Jupiter 125. TVS has also revamped the engine and made it slightly larger at 113cc which has resulted in more power and torque output than before.
Hero MotoCorp launched the 2024 Glamour and the bike received a new paint scheme called the Black Metallic Silver. It is priced at Rs. 83,598 for the drum brake model and Rs. 87,598 for the disc brake model. Apart from the new colour scheme, the 2024 Hero Glamour retains all the other aspects from before. It is powered by a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 10.72bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm.
Harley-Davidson X440 new colours
Hero MotoCorp introduced a range of new colours for the Harley-Davidson X440. The mid-spec X440 variant now gets two additional colours – Mustard and Goldfish Silver. These paint schemes also get a 3D logo as standard. The top-end S variant gets one new colour – Baja Orange. These colours have been launched to create some excitement around the motorcycle, as the festive season is around the corner.
Kawasaki Versys X-300 launching soon
The Kawasaki Versys X-300 is expected to go on sale in India in a few weeks. The bike could be launched around the festive season in October. The timing could not be any better for the Japanese manufacturer as it tries to draw customers away from the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure. To do so, Kawasaki is expected to price the new Versys X-300 quite competitively.
BSA Goldstar deliveries commence
The BSA Gold Star 650 went on sale in India on 15 August and shortly after the company began delivering the motorcycle to customers last week. The Gold Star 650 is sold at Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle dealerships across the country. The bike was launched at Rs 2.99 lakh, ex-showroom. With the launch of the Gold Star 650, the company has forayed into a segment that has competition from the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
