The last week was quite eventful for the Indian two-wheeler market as multiple new launches took place and a few upcoming two-wheelers were spied ahead of their debut. In case you couldn’t stay up to date with these stories, here’s a quick round-up.
2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 launch
Bajaj Auto launched the updated Pulsar RS 200 after teasing it many times. The bike has been tweaked on a few fronts and now comes with more features and a higher asking price. For Rs. 10,000 more, you get a fully digital console, a revised tail section and headlamp, ABS modes, and new colour options. The bike has been priced at Rs. 1.84 lakh.
2025 Suzuki V-Strom, Gixxer launch
Suzuki launched the OBD-2B-compliant iterations of the V-Strom SX along with 250cc and 155cc models of the Gixxer. Besides receiving internal updates to their engines for compliance with new norms, all the bikes have received new colour options. The prices of select models have also marginally gone up. The biggest hike has been received by the V-Strom SX which, at Rs. 2.16 lakh, has gotten Rs 5,000 more expensive.
Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 spied
The upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 was spotted testing yet again on Indian roads. We could see a bump in engine displacement to 750cc and the power and torque figures are also expected to rise. We may see the parallel-twin engine produce upwards of 50bhp. A new tail lamp, dual discs at the front, and new instrument cluster are also visible in the spy shots. The bike is likely to be launched in India in a few months.
Hero Xtreme 250R spotted
It looks like Hero MotoCorp’s first launch of 2025 is the new Xtreme 250R as a few units of it were spotted on the streets of Delhi during a TVC shoot. The Xtreme 250R is based on a new 250cc platform and gets a proper street-fighter look. Powering the bike is a new 250cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine that makes 30bhp at 9,250rpm and 25Nm at 7,250rpm. It is expected to be priced between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.2 lakh, ex-showroom.
Aprilia RS 457 wins IMOTY
The Aprilia RS 457 won the country’s most prestigious motorcycle award- the Indian Motorcycle of the Year for 2025. It was followed by the Bajaj Freedom and the Hero Xtreme 125R in second and third place, respectively. The Aprilia RS 457 was a part of the 10 motorcycles that were selected for the final jury round. These bikes were from various segments- modern-classic, sports bike, street naked and commuters as well.
