The Indian motorcycling fraternity brimmed with sheer excitement last week. It not only welcomed the first-ever MotoGP of the country at BIC but also witnessed a couple of noteworthy launches and unveils. Aprilia RS457 unveiled in India
Aprilia took the wraps off the highly-anticipated RS457 in India. It’s the most affordable sportbike from the Italian brand for India and sits below the RS660. Besides taking design inspiration from its bigger siblings, the motorcycle comes equipped with modern features, premium cycle parts, and a 47bhp-producing 457cc, twin-cylinder engine that looks promising on paper. The official launch should take place soon.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 details leaked
In an exclusive report, we revealed that Royal Enfield’s upcoming ADV’s name will bear the 452 suffix, instead of the long-speculated 450. Honda Hornet 2.0 Repsol edition
To celebrate the arrival of its MotoGP racing team in India this year, Honda took the wraps off the special Repsol edition of the Hornet 2.0. It sports Repsol graphics which is inspired by the brand’s MotoGP machine. The livery is a bold combination of orange, white, red, and blue decals spread across its fuel tank and tail section. Also, the fuel tank is adorned with conspicuous ‘Repsol’ branding. Priced at Rs. 1.40 lakh, the Hornet 2.0 Repsol is Rs. 1000 more expensive than the standard trim.
To spice up its scooter portfolio, Honda also launched the Repsol edition of the new Dio 125. It is adorned with white and multiple shades of orange colour all over the bodywork, while the wheels come painted in orange. Even the grab-rail has been dipped in orange colour. The Dio 125 Repsol edition costs Rs. 92,300 which sits between the standard and Smart variants.
Royal Enfield rental service introduced
Royal Enfield announced its new motorcycle rental service called ‘Royal Enfield Rentals’ in India. The Chennai-based bike maker has partnered with various motorcycle rental operators across India to roll out this service for riders. Specifically, the company has collaborated with a total of 40 bike rental operators across 25 different cities in India.
