While the last week was deprived of many launches, it still had some spicy updates for us to be enthralled about. Triumph brought in its flagship Scrambler whereas Aprilia introduced its most affordable offering to entice even the budget-conscious buyers. There were more such interesting stories last week and we take a look at the top five of them.
Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC launch
Triumph has launched the Scrambler 1200 XC in India at Rs 10.73 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pan India). The motorcycle sits above the already-existing Street Scrambler and is powered by a 1200cc, parallel-twin motor which makes 88bhp and 110Nm. It also comes equipped with premium components and high-tech features with one of the main highlights being the full-colour TFT instrument cluster offering turn-by-turn GPS navigation system and GoPro integration.
Aprilia Storm 125 launch
Aprilia launched the funkier and more affordable iteration of the SR125 in India – the Storm 125. Priced at Rs 65,000, the new entrant costs Rs 8,000 lesser than the SR125. In order to differentiate it from the latter, Aprilia has equipped the Storm with smaller wheels which are shod with chunky, off-road tyres. Moreover, it also gets bold colour options of Red and Yellow which are adorned with rugged-theme graphics. The company will also introduce a White colour scheme for the Storm 125 later.
Kawasaki Ninja 300 new colours
With the aim to refresh its entry-level fully-faired offering, Kawasaki introduced two new colour schemes for the Ninja 300. The Lime Green and Metallic Moon Dust Grey shades feature new graphics on the fairing, fuel tank and rear panel. Besides the addition of new colours, the motorcycle remains unchanged. Powering the Ninja 300 is a 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor which produces 39bhp and 27Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Its 60V/30Ah battery is claimed to deliver 75km of range after being full charged, which takes around 5.5 hours. Production-ready KTM 390 Adventure spied
The string of spy shots of the highly-anticipated KTM 390 Adventure just refuses to stop emerging. This time though, it was spotted in what looks like the production-ready form of the bike. With all the body-panels and components in place, the motorcycle was devoid of any colour or graphics. Well, similar to the previous spy shots, this too was the road-biased variant of the motorcycle with alloy wheels. The company is also likely to bring an off-road model with spoke wheels but that has not been sighted yet. As for its launch, the Austrian bikemaker is expected to drop the 390 Adventure to our shores by the end of this year.
