The last week was largely about upcoming two-wheeler launches, some of which are highly anticipated by motorcycle enthusiasts. While we have covered all these developments in detail, here’s a quick round-up of the most noteworthy ones.
2025 Ather 450X launched
Ather launched the 2025 iteration of the 450X. The scooter has received a host of changes along with a price hike. The 2.9kWh variant now costs Rs. 1.47 lakh while the 3.7kWh trim is pegged at Rs. 1.57 lakh, ex-showroom, which makes them pricier by Rs. 6,400 and Rs. 2,000, respectively. Among the major updates are the introduction of three traction control modes, the Magic Twist regenerative braking system, and new tyres which are claimed to increase the battery range due to lower rolling resistance.
Aprilia Tuono 457 bookings
A few Aprilia dealers in Maharashtra have started accepting bookings for the Aprilia Tuono 457 ahead of its official launch the exact date of which is not known yet. Some of these dealers mentioned that the wholesale billing of the Tuono 457 is about to start which means the official price reveal will likely take place within the next two to three weeks. The dealers are taking bookings for Rs 10,000 and are promising deliveries in February.
Royal Enfield Scram 440 price announcement
The 2025 Royal Enfield Scram 440 is all set to go on sale in India soon. The bike was revealed at Motoverse 2024 and its price will be announced this month. The Scram 440 succeeds the Royal Enfield Scram 411 and as the 440 moniker suggests, it has a bigger engine. The bike is powered by a 443cc, air/oil-cooled engine that makes 25.4bhp at 6,250rpm and 34Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. It will go up against the Triumph Scrambler 400X.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 spied
The clearest pictures of what is clearly the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 have surfaced on the internet. While the test mule looks very close to being production-ready, the official debut of the bike might take two more years, at least. The spy shots revealed that it rides on 19-17-inch spoke wheels with USD forks and dual disc brakes up front. It also boasts a new TFT screen and Husqvarna Norden 901-like styling. Once launched, it might be positioned on top of all other bikes in RE’s 750cc family.
New Bajaj Pulsar RS200 launch
Bajaj has teased the updated Pulsar RS200 on its social media handles and we expect an official announcement from the company sometime this week. The updated model of the bike is likely to get the same design and hardware to some extent. So, we expect the twin projector lights along with the cuts and creases on the angular fairing all over. However, Bajaj could introduce a few new colours for the 2025 Pulsar RS 200.
