The last week witnessed two new launches along with indications of other new and updated products being on their way. In our exclusive report, we also revealed the price of the Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 ahead of its official launch. Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear BS6 launch
Bajaj launched the BS6 version of its 110cc commuter, the Platina 110 H-Gear. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 59,802 which makes it around Rs 3,500 more expensive than the BS4 front disc model. Notably, Bajaj has discontinued the drum brake variant of this offering. The 115.4cc, air-cooled engine now features electronic injection and churns out 8.44bhp and 9.81Nm. It continues to be mated with a five-speed gearbox which is one of the USPs of the Platina H-Gear.
2020 Triumph Street Triple RS launch
Triumph has finally brought the 2020 Street Triple RS to our shores at the same price as its predecessor. The motorcycle costs Rs 11.13 lakh which is likely to increase in July. Triumph has bestowed the 2020 model year with a more aggressive front fascia and sharper body panels. The 765cc, inline-triple motor has also been tuned to deliver better mid-range and more refinement. Besides the top-notch electronics, the middle-weight street bike continues to get premium hardware such as the USD forks from Showa, monoshock from Ohlins and Brembo brakes.
Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 price revealed
Our sources have revealed that the Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 will be priced at Rs 2.20 lakh which is a hefty premium of Rs 40,000 over the existing BS4 model. Besides the changes in its engine, it is likely to get new set of decals as well. The motorcycle will remain unchanged in all other aspects. The Imperiale 400 will be Benelli’s first BS6-compliant offering which was supposed to launch this month. However, the ongoing lockdown due to the COVID-19 virus seems to have delayed the launch further.
Suzuki Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF 250 launching soon
Suzuki has officially teased the arrival of the BS6-complaint Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 in India. We had seen both the bikes at the Auto Expo 2020 back in February which revealed that the changes will be limited to their engines. A leaked document had also revealed the power figures of their BS6 motor which will be slightly different than the BS4 iteration. Prices will rise marginally over the current costs which stand at Rs 1.60 lakh for the Gixxer and 1.71 lakh for the Gixxer SF 250.
Bajaj Pulsar RS200 BS6 gets dual-channel ABS
Besides updating the Pulsar RS200 in accordance with the new BS6 emission norms, Bajaj has also equipped its fully-faired motorcycle with a dual-channel ABS. On the contrary, the BS4 model had a single-channel ABS which means the new version is much safer to ride. The BS6-related changes in the engine and advance braking setup have also made it 2kg heavier than before. Apart from this, all other aspects of the bike have remained unchanged. The Pulsar RS200 BS6 carries a price tag of Rs 1.45 lakh.
