2019 Triumph Street Scrambler and Street Twin launch
Triumph has updated the Street Scrambler and Street Twin for 2019 and brought them to India. The motorcycles have received cosmetic, mechanical and engine upgrades. There is a bump of 10bhp of power and now, the 900cc, parallel-twin motor pumps out 64bhp and 80Nm of torque. Moreover, the motorcycles have also become more electronically advanced and the subtle changes to the styling make them all the more enticing. TVS brings ABS in the Apache RTR 160 4V
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V just got safer as the company equipped it with single-channel ABS. The ABS-version of the motorcycle has been launched at Rs 98,644, which is a hike of Rs 6,999 over the non-ABS trim. Apart from the safety feature, rest of the details remain the same. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V gets its styling inspired by the elder sibling, the Apache RTR 200 4V, and is powered by a 159cc, oil-cooled motor. It makes 14.8Nm of torque and 16.6bhp from its fuel-injected motor whereas 16.2bhp from the carburetor mill.
Bajaj likely to bring petrol-powered Urbanite scooters
After staying away from this territory for a significant period, Bajaj is now gearing up to enter into the scooter market. Interestingly, apart from Rajiv Bajaj’s confirmation to launch electric scooter under its Urbanite banner, we also received information that the company will use this platform to bring in petrol-powered scooters as well. Well, not just information, we acquired design sketches of one of its prospective models which depict a curvy and stylish scooter.
Suzuki to launch upgraded Gixxer by July
The 150-160cc rink is full of potent contenders which includes the Suzuki Gixxer as well. However, the motorcycle looks like it needs a bit of nip and tuck to stay relevant in this ever-changing market. Our sources informed us that the Gixxer is receiving its necessary overhaul and will hit the showrooms by July this year. And, it won’t just be a cosmetic makeover but Suzuki will also elongate its feature list while adding more horses to its mill. Its faired version, the Gixxer SF, will also be launched in a refreshed avatar but on a later date. The updated models are expected to receive a marginal price hike.
2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 details leaked
The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 has been the talk of the town for a while, thanks to its consistent spy shots and videos. The earlier reports gave us a glimpse of updates it will receive on its cycle parts and features. Now though, a leaked brochure revealed details about its engine signifying it will get a hike of 4.8bhp in its power figures. The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 will pump out 39.3bhp from its 373cc, single-cylinder motor.
BMW Motorrad teases 2019 S1000RR for India
With the help of a teaser image, BMW Motorrad confirmed the arrival of its updated litre-class weapon, the 2019 S1000RR, in India. Apart from the mechanical and electronic updates, the most prominent change is in its styling which is a departure from its asymmetrical design. The 2019 S1000RR is longer and wider than its predecessor while being lighter by 11kgs! All of these updates will demand a premium over its current pricing which stands at Rs 17.90 lakhs.
