While last week was deprived of new two-wheeler launches, we posted many updates about some of the highly anticipated upcoming two-wheelers. For the busybees who couldn’t stay up to speed with these updates, here’s a quick lowdown.
Hero’s new flagship offering, the Mavrick 440, is all set to be launched on 23 January, 2024 in India. Ahead of that, the motorcycle has been spied on multiple times while an official teaser has also been released. It will be based on the same platform as the Harley-Davidson X440 but will feature a different roadster-type styling and a lot of other updates. It should also be significantly cheaper than the X440.
Jawa Motorcycles is preparing to launch a heavily revised iteration of the Jawa Standard. As per our sources, the motorcycle will get a bigger 334cc engine and, hence, it will be called the Jawa 350. This will be the same engine as the Jawa Perak and 42 Bobber but, probably, in a slightly different state of tune. It might also get revisions to its chassis and other cycle parts. The official launch of the Jawa 350 is all set to take place in a couple of days.
Triumph globally unveiled the new Daytona 660 last week. It’s nothing like its predecessor and is based on the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660. While the fully-faired styling resembles the previous Daytona 675 to some extent, the new model has its own visual persona. Moreover, the engine has been revised to pump out 95bhp and rev as high as 12,650rpm. Interestingly, unofficial bookings for the Daytona 660 have already commenced in India and it is likely to arrive at our shores soon.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is prepping to launch of its upcoming adventure motorcycle, the NX500. Our dealer sources have revealed that the bike could be launched soon and the unofficial bookings have commenced with a token amount of Rs. 50,000. The NX500 is the successor to the previously sold CB500X with some changes but the same 471cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that makes 47bhp and 43Nm.
Hero Xpulse 210 launch timeline
The next-generation 210cc iteration of the Hero Xpulse 200, which was recently spotted undergoing test runs, will be launched in India next year, 2025. It will be built around the same chassis and engine that is seen on the Karizma XMR. While the majority of the design elements will be carried forward from the current generation of XPulse 200, the mechanical and cycle parts of the new XPulse will be brand new.
