The Indian two-wheeler market witnessed the entry of new products in the entry-level and premium commuter segment in the last week. Further adding to the buzz were Ninja 300’s price reduction and the release of Ola’s MoveOS 3.0 software. Hero launched the new iteration of the Xpulse 200T with a couple of changes. The most significant update came in the form of a four-valve engine that makes slightly more power and torque as compared to the older two-valve setup. Moreover, the 200T also gets a few visual tweaks and a marginal price hike.
Bajaj introduced the new ABS version of its commuter offering, the Platina 110. Notably, this is the only ABS-equipped motorcycle in this segment. Besides the inclusion of the safety net, the motorcycle also gets an updated semi-digital console with an ABS indicator, gear position indicator, and a gear-shift guiding system. The Platina 110 ABS is priced at Rs 72,224.
Kawasaki India dealers are offering a cash discount of Rs 10,000 on the Ninja 300. The offer is applicable on the on-road price of the motorcycle and is valid till 31 December 2022. The ex-showroom price of the Ninja 300 is Rs 3.40 lakh (before the discount). Notably, this comes in after two price hikes for the Ninja 300 since the launch of its 2022 iteration in April 2022.
Ola Electric released the third version of the MoveOS software for its electric scooters in India. The company started the rollout of the update on 22 December with the promise of providing it to all its customers within a week. The revised software facilitates all variants of the S1 e-scooter with regenerative braking, hill-hold assist, proximity alert, and most importantly, hyper charging.
TVS Motor Company is all set to host the second season of MotoSoul on 3-4 March, 2023 at Hilltop Vagator, Goa. This is a motorcycling event, similar to Rider Mania and IBW, but exclusively for TVS customers. Apart from attracting a huge crowd of bikers, MotoSoul will also comprise a range of other activities related to lifestyle and music.
