The last week was more about the spy shots of upcoming products than new two-wheeler launches. The Indian market witnessed just one new launch while three interesting products were sighted undergoing road tests ahead of their official launch. And following our Sunday ritual, let’s take a recap of these spy shots and launches.
Honda launched the new CB350 which is a cosmetically different version of the Hness 350. It gets a more retro-centric visual touch with metal fenders, metal front fork covers, a Classic 350-like exhaust can, and a different sea and grab rail. Meanwhile, the engine and cycle parts remain the same as the Hness. The prices of the new CB350 start from Rs. 2 lakh and it comes in two variants – Deluxe and Deluxe Pro.
Yamaha R3, MT03 launch timeline
According to a leaked document sent to dealers, Yamaha is planning to launch two of its most anticipated motorcycles – the R3 and the MT03 in India in the middle of December, 2023. Yamaha plans to make these bikes available only through select dealers. There are specific criteria that these dealers have to meet to display, sell and service the R3 and the MT03. Also, we have ridden both bikes in Thailand and their detailed reviews will go live soon.
Bajaj was spied on testing the upcoming version of the Pulsar P125. This comes shortly after the Chakan-based bikemaker launched the N150 and removed the P150 from its official website. The P150 was launched last year but didn’t seem to find a lot of takers. So, Bajaj brought in the N150 as its successor. However, its 125cc division still seems to be doing well and has a spot for a stylish commuter bike. This is where the new P125 could make for a good fit with its youthful styling, slim build, and simple structure overall.
New Bajaj 150cc motorcycle spied
Another Bajaj commuter was spotted testing in Pune last week. Although the heavy camouflage made its portions look deceptive, on closer inspection, the new test mule seemed to have similarities to the existing Bajaj CT125X. Our sources have revealed that this could be one of the biggest projects of Bajaj in the commuter segment and could be launched a year from now. Moreover, we think the bike could be a 150cc commuter since the segment still has space for an affordable model.
New Ather electric scooter spotted
We have known for a while that Ather Energy was working on a new scooter. Now, a new test mule has been spotted in Bengaluru recently and it could very well be the new Ather electric scooter. Multiple design cues hint that it will be a proper family-friendly scooter with a slightly more conventional design approach. Ather could launch the scooter as soon as this test mule appears ready for production.
