While the last week was deprived of many interesting two-wheeler launches, updates related to upcoming products kept the excitement going. So, before we enter 2025, let’s take a look at what the Indian two-wheeler industry had for us in store last week.
2025 Triumph Speed Twin 900 launch
Triumph launched the 2025 Speed Twin 900 in India with a price tag of Rs. 8.89 lakh. That makes it just Rs. 10,000 more expensive than its predecessor. Triumph has tweaked the seating ergonomics and cycle parts of the bike to make it more engaging to ride. The electronics package has also been updated with the inclusion of lean-sensitive ABS and TC and a new TFT screen.
Kawasaki KLX 230 launch
Kawasaki finally launched the KLX 230 in India last week at Rs. 3.30 lakh. The Japanese dual-sport sits as the smallest road-legal offering from the brand for the Indian market. Clinging onto its off-road-focussed chassis is a 233cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes 18.1bhp and 18.3Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. With commendable ground clearance and suspension travel along with low kerb weight, the KLX is a proper road-legal dirt bike.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 launching soon
Royal Enfield is likely to reveal the prices of the new Classic 650 in a few days. The bike was unveiled a few weeks ago at the 2024 Motoverse. Royal Enfield dealers nationwide are about to get billed for the Classic 650. After the billing process, which usually takes about two weeks, the company will officially launch the bike in India. From its looks, the Classic 650 has managed to grab a lot of eyeballs at Motoverse, but the buying decision for most people will depend on its price.
TVS Apache RTX 300 ADV spied
The upcoming TVS 300cc adventure bike, likely to be called the Apache RTX 300, was spotted testing in India yet again. The motorcycle is expected to be a road-focused adventure tourer, as is evident from what looks like a 19/17-inch wheel combination. It is expected to utilize a steel trellis frame and a separate sub-frame along with USD forks and a monoshock. Powering the bike will be a 299cc, liquid-cooled RTX D4 engine that produces 35bhp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm
Hero Xpulse 421 design patented
Hero MotoCorp has filed the design trademark for the Xpulse 421 in India. It is set to get a completely different look compared to its smaller sibling, the Xpulse 200 4V. Hero will use a newly designed trellis frame for the Xpulse 421. It will house the new 421cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that will be linked to a six-speed gearbox. We expect this motor to churn out around 45bhp and 45Nm at its upper limit. Hero could launch the Xpulse 421 in early 2026 as a direct rival to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the new KTM 390 Adventure.
