The last week was all about new launches as we witnessed motorcycles like the Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6 making their way to India. We also came across a new spy shot of the next-generation Royal Enfield Classic 350. 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6 launched
After discontinuing the BS4 Ninja 300 in December 2019, Kawasaki has now introduced its BS6 model in India. Besides a cleaner 296cc, parallel-twin engine, the motorcycle gets refreshed decals. And these changes demand a premium of Rs 20,000 over the BS4 model as Kawasaki has priced the bike at Rs 3.18 lakh now. The Kawasaki Ninja 300 goes up against the KTM RC 390 and TVS Apache RR310.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V single ABS gets riding modes
TVS Motor Company has finally introduced riding modes in the single-channel ABS trim of the Apache RTR 200 4V. Until now, this functionality was only available in the dual ABS trim of the bike which we recently reviewed. And not just riding modes, the single ABS gets all the new goodies like adjustable Show suspension at the front and adjustable brake and clutch levers. It has been priced at Rs 1.28 lakh.
Bajaj Platina 110 ABS version launched
Bajaj Auto has equipped its commuter offering, the Platina 110 H-Gear, with ABS which makes it the first bike in its class to feature this safety net. Priced at Rs 65,926, the variant of the bike is around Rs 1,200 costlier than the non-ABS trim of the Platina 110. Apart from the addition of ABS, the motorcycle remains unaltered in all other areas.
TVS Star City Plus disc brake model launched
TVS Motor Company has introduced the front disc brake model of its commuter, the Star City Plus, in India. With the addition of a petal-type front disc, the price of the bike has shot up by Rs 2,600 over the base trim. It comes with a price tag of Rs 68,465. In its segment, the TVS Star City Plus competes against the likes of the Hero Splendor iSmart 110 and the Honda Livo.
Next-gen Royal Enfield Classic 350 spied
The next-generation model of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 was spotted recently. The new spy image revealed that the upcoming Classic 350 gets a catalytic converter installed on the exhaust downtube, unlike the existing model which incorporates it in the upper half of the silencer. Besides this, it gets a new engine and chassis that are the same as the Meteor 350. The styling has also seen minor revisions.
