The last week was deprived of a major two-wheeler launch in Inda. But our news section still looked interesting owing to some interesting updates, like the introduction of spoke wheels for the KTM 390 Adventure and a more affordable Royal Enfield Interceptor being spied. Budget-friendly Royal Enfield Interceptor spied
A test mule of what looked like the cheaper iteration of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 was spied testing. Only rear end of the bike was visible and it clearly resembled that of the Interceptor. The only visible difference was the presence of a single exhaust, instead of dual canister like that on the Interceptor 650, and this is perhaps connected to RE’s new 350cc engine. Not much is known about this bike yet but we might hear something about it in the near future.
KTM 390 Adventure gets spoke wheels
KTM has added spoke wheels to the Powerparts accessory catalogue of the 390 Adventure in the international markets. Ever since the launch of the 390 Adventure, the off-roading enthusiasts wanted spoke wheels at least as an option, if not from the factory. Now that it’s available, riders can finally exploit the 390 Adventure’s capabilities on tricky terrains. Notably, the details about its availability and pricing in India is yet to come through.
Honda Hornet 2.0 and Activa 6G available with cashback
As a part of its year-end fiesta, Honda has introduced cashback offers of up to Rs 5,000 for the Hornet 2.0 and the Activa 6G. It is available on credit or debit card EMI linked to one of Honda’s partner banks. The customer also saves the hassle of hypothecation and documentation process while there’s no need to pay the down payment either.
Royal Enfield 650 twins to get alloy wheels
Royal Enfield is reportedly working on a set of alloy wheels for the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. It is said to be undergoing tests for durability and validation. These alloy wheels are likely to be available from February 2021 and it might also be present on Royal Enfield’s online motorcycle configurator platform. Furthermore, expect the brand to offer tubeless tyres as a part of the whole package.
Eeve Atreo and Ahava electric scooters launched
Electric two-wheeler manufacturer, EeVe India has announced the launch of two new electric scooters, Atreo and Ahava. The Atreo features a longer range than the Ahava. While the former can travel up to 100km per charge, the latter is rated to deliver a range of up to 70km. The company claims a running cost of 15 paise per kilometre.
