The last week was as eventful as it could have been as we witnessed five new two-wheeler launches in India. And these were motorcycles with varying body styles and displacement. While all these updates have already been covered in detail on our website, here’s a quick round-up of them to add some spice to your Sunday.
Kawasaki W175 launched
Kawasaki entered the small-size modern-classic motorcycle segment in India with the launch of the new W175. Being locally manufactured, this is the most affordable offering from the brand with a starting price of Rs 1.47 lakh. The hardware package and feature list are pretty basic while the engine is a 177cc, air-cooled unit that makes 12.8bhp and 13.2Nm. Considering its pricing, it will lock horns with the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the TVS Ronin 225.
KTM RC 390, RC 200 GP edition launched
KTM India introduced the special GP edition of the RC390 and RC200 in our market. These are visually inspired by the brand’s RC16 MotoGP racing bikes. Interestingly, both of them will be sold along with the existing KTM RC range at the same price. Thus, the KTM RC390 GP costs Rs. 3.16 lakh while the RC200 GP is pegged at Rs 2.15 lakh.
Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 launched
Hero MotoCorp launched the new Xtreme 160R Stealth 2.0 with Hero Connect in India. With a price tag of Rs 1.30 lakh, this is the most expensive variant of the motorcycle. The styling upgrades on this trim come in the form of a new paint theme comprising red highlights on the telescopic forks, frame, and pillion grip. A similar shade is used for graphics on the headlight mask, fuel tank, rear panel, engine cowl, and rim tapes. This version also gets knuckle guards for added protection.
Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, Vitpilen 250 new colours
Husqvarna updated the colour palette of the Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 250 in India. The two, KTM 250 Duke-based motorcycles continue with the same pricing as before which stands at Rs 2.19 lakh. As for the new colours, the Vitpilen 250 gets a matte-finish Ceramic White paint scheme with contrasting grey for the rear section and black wheels. On the other hand, the Svartpilen 250 gets a Black and Blue Moonshine which sports beige seat cowls.
New Jawa 42 Bobber launched
Jawa expanded its portfolio in India with the debut of the stunning 42 Bobber. While it is majorly based on the 42 roadster mechanically, the design is that of a typical bobber which is reminiscent of Triumph’s similar-themed motorcycle. Some of its aesthetic highlights are the floating-style single seat, flat-tracker handlebar with bar-end mirrors, and swanky colours. It is available in three colour options with prices starting from Rs 2.06 lakh.
