Your weekly dose of bike updates: New Bajaj Pulsar 250, Kawasaki Z650 RS and more!

We’re back with our weekly compilation of the five most noteworthy bike stories that went up on BikeWale. While there were a couple of updates that were interesting, the biggest news was the launch of the all new Bajaj Pulsar 250 twins in India.

Bajaj Pulsar N250 and F250 launched

Bajaj Auto has finally introduced the next-generation Pulsar platform which has spawned two versions – Pulsar N250 and the Pulsar F250. While the former is a naked bike priced at Rs 1.38 lakh, the latter costs Rs 2,000 more. Both sport an all-new styling, a bunch of modern features, new hardware, and a new 250cc, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 24.1bhp of power and 21.5Nm of peak torque.

New accessorized Bajaj Dominar 400

Bajaj also surprised us by launching by a new variant of the Dominar 400 that comes equipped with touring-oriented accessories. The additional components include an engine bash plate with an integrated metal skid plate, a new leg guard, and the saddle stays. A USB charging port is also part of the package. This new Dominar 400 is pegged at Rs 2.17 lakh.

New Kawasaki Z650 RS launched

To heat up the competition in the middle-weight modern classic segment, Kawasaki dropped the Z650 RS in India. It will mainly compete against the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 which is much cheaper. The Z650 RS will set you back by Rs 6.65 lakh. Accompanying its neo-retro styling is a 649cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 67.3bhp and 64Nm. A majority of the other cycle parts are identical to the naked Z650 offering.

MY2022 Kawasaki Versys 1000 launched 

Kawasaki also updated its litre-class touring machine, the Versys 1000, in India. The only update it has received is a new Candy Lime Green colour option. It continues to be powered by a 1,043cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine is tuned to produce 118bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 102Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The new 2022 Versys 1000 is available in India at Rs 11.55 lakh.

Hero Xtreme 160R Track Review

We recently went to the race track to test ride some of the bikes that have truly impressed us on the streets. One of these was the Hero Xtreme 160R. Its punchy motor and incredibly flickable nature had us intrigued to know how it all fares on the race track. Despite its puny 160cc engine, the Xtreme was quite fun there too.
