Although we have already seen various two-wheeler launches lately, there are some more models which are expected to debut soon. Before that, the spy shots of these bikes and scooters have been fueling our anticipation. In case you missed any of them last week, here's a round-up of those spy stories along with other interesting updates.
New Honda Activa spotted testing
Honda was spotted testing a new scooter which is expected to be the new Activa 125. The test mule was fully camouflaged but gave out a few details about its upgrades. It incorporated a re-designed instrument cluster with a different layout for the analogue speedometer along with a small digital display. Moreover, it also featured a refreshed grab rail. While all the other details are expected to remain the same, its engine might be upgraded to adhere to the BS VI emission norms.
KTM 390 Adventure spied testing
KTM has been extensively testing its highly-awaited motorcycle, the 390 Adventure, in India. While we have already seen a few spy shots of the motorcycle before, it was once again spotted last week. The camouflaged test mule had a tall-windscreen, easy-to-reach handlebar, radiator guards, saddle stay and rear carrier. Notably, the spied 2019 KTM 390 Adventure incorporated alloy wheels while a more off-road-focussed model with spoke wheels is also expected to accompany it.
2019 Hero Pleasure spotted
Hopping on the upgrade bandwagon will also be the Hero Pleasure. The 2019 model of the scooter was recently spotted during a TV commercial shoot featuring Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt. The scooter has received changes on the cosmetic-front as it gets a newly designed headlamp, front apron and side panels. Moreover, the 2019 Hero Pleasure is also likely to share its engine with the Maestro which is a 110cc unit.
Hero XPulse 200 spotted
Yet another motorcycle whose spy pictures have been doing rounds over the internet is the Hero XPulse 200. The upcoming adventure motorcycle was previously sighted on test being ridden by the ace rally rider CS Santosh. Now, the pictures of the motorcycle have emerged once again, this time in production-ready state. There will be two versions of the bike including a full-fledged adventure bike with spoke wheels and a touring model with alloy wheels. It will be powered by the same 200cc, air-cooled motor which is utilised by the Xtreme 200R. The 2019 Hero XPulse 200 will be launched in India in the coming weeks.
Avan Motors Trend E electric scooter launch
Avan Motors has widened its portfolio by launching a new Xero series electric scooter, the Trend E. Priced at Rs 56,900 for the single-battery variant, there’s also double-battery model which costs Rs 81,296 (both prices are ex-showroom). Online bookings for the Trend E have already commenced at a token amount of Rs 1,100. The scooter can deliver a range of 60km on a single battery and 110km with two batteries together. With the maximum payload capacity of 150kgs, it can attain a top speed of 45kmph.
Royal Enfield official accessories
Royal Enfield has officially launched a range of accessories for the Classic, Thunderbird, Thunderbird X and Himalayan models. The prices of these accessories start from as low as Rs 675 for the brake reservoir cap and go up to Rs 10,000 for machined alloy wheels. For those who prefer munching long distances on their RE, there’s also a touring seat starting at Rs 2400 and options of panniers which cost Rs 5500 for a pair.
