We are back again with our weekly round-up of the top five two-wheeler updates. A bunch of major developments took place last week and these were more than just new launches. While most of your might have kept a track of it all, here’s a quick lowdown for those who couldn’t.
Royal Enfield Meteor 350 new colours
Royal Enfield updated the colour palette of its 350cc cruiser, the Meteor 350, in India. The entry-level Fireball trim will be available in Blue and Matte Green paint schemes while the top-end Supernova variant can be had in the new Red colour option. What’s more, the company has also hiked the prices of all the variants of the Meteor by Rs 4,224.
2022 Honda Gold Wing Tour DCT launch
Honda launched the 2022 edition of its full-size touring machine, the Goldwing Tour, in India. The bike doesn’t get any real update, apart from the marginal price hike and the manual transmission version being ditched for this year. It is priced at Rs 39.20 lakh which makes it around Rs 4,000 more expensive than the previous model. Bookings for the motorcycle are already open.
Race-spec TVS Apache RR310 reveal
TVS Racing has announced that it will host the maiden edition of the TVS Asia One Make Racing Championship in May 2022. The participants of this competition will use race-spec Apache RR 310 motorcycles that have received a major overhaul over the road-legal bike. The body panels, the engine, and the feature list have all been reworked to make the bike suitable for honing around the race track.
Kawasaki is offering a huge discount on its middleweight adventure tourer motorcycle, the Versys 650. It is available with a special discount voucher worth Rs 70,000 that can be redeemed against its ex-showroom price tag. This voucher brings the price down to Rs 6.45 lakh from Rs 7.15 lakh. The offer is valid for a limited period only, and the last date to avail of it is 30 April, 2022.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 spy shot
A few days ago, Royal Enfield was spotted road testing the new Himalayan 450 and it was its second spotting last week. The spotted prototype clearly isn’t production-ready but it is not an early prototype either. The bike was running a lot of finished components – from all body panels to the cycle parts. We are expecting the new Himalayan 450 to make its debut early next year.
