As we continue to grapple with the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, the two-wheeler industry has also been witnessing some noteworthy progress. Royal Enfield Bullet 350 BS6 launched
Royal Enfield has launched the more eco-friendly version of its iconic Bullet 350 in India. The motorcycle now costs starting from Rs 1.28 lakhs to Rs 1.37 lakhs, depending on the variant. That makes it around Rs 7,000 more expensive than its BS4 counterpart. Besides the BS6-bound changes in its 346cc single-cylinder engine, RE has kept the Bullet unchanged in all other aspects. However, the company has introduced a new green paint scheme which goes well with its retro theme.
TVS Scooty Pep Plus BS6 launched
TVS’ most affordable and smallest-displacement scooter, the Scooty Pep Plus, has also gone green as it has received the BS6 update. While the standard version of the BS6 Scooty costs Rs 50,757, there are two new paint schemes which demand a premium of roughly Rs 2,000. It is powered by the same 90cc engine mated to a CVT gearbox which makes 5bhp and 5.8Nm. Being a female-oriented scooter, it also extremely light at 95kgs (kerb).
Bajaj launches BS6 models of Pulsar and Avenger range
Similar to many other brands, Bajaj has also silently updated its Pulsar and Avenger line-up in accordance with the new emission regulations. Following this, all these motorcycle have received a price hike ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000. This increment is due to the inclusion of fuel-injection, a larger catalytic converter and an ECU. Now, it’s commendable that most of the BS6 Bajaj models have retained their performance from their BS4 counterparts. In fact, a few models like the Pulsar NS200 have witnessed a marginal hike in their power figures.
