The Indian two-wheeler market witnessed plenty of new two-wheeler launches last week in multiple segments. If you aren’t up to date with all these updates, here’s a round-up.
Triumph Speed T4 launch
Triumph launched the new Speed T4 which is the more affordable, lower-spec version of the standard Speed 400. It gets conventional telescopic forks, non-radial tyres, and traction control has been given a miss. Plus, the detuned 398cc engine makes less power and torque at 30.6bhp and 36Nm, respectively. It has been priced at Rs. 2.17 lakh.
2024 TVS Apache RR310 launch
The 2024 TVS Apache RR 310 was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 2.75 lakh. The bike has received significant updates, both visually as well as mechanically. The engine has received internal tweaks and makes more power and torque. The TFT screen also shows data while the feature list is much longer than before. TVS has also added winglets to its fairing while keeping the rest of the bodywork unchanged. By paying extra, one can also get access to goodies like adjustable suspension and six-axis IMU-based rider aids.
Yamaha MT15, R15 MotoGP edition
Yamaha re-launched the MotoGP edition of the MT 15 and R15. While the former costs Rs. 1.73 lakh, the latter is pegged at Rs. 1.98 lakh. Both bikes are just cosmetically different from their standard counterparts and boast a Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team livery on their bodywork. On the mechanical front, Yamaha has kept both bikes unchanged.
BMW F 900 GS launch
BMW Motorrad launched the F 900 GS and the F 900 GS Adventure in India. The price of the former is Rs. 13.75 lakh while the latter is pegged at Rs. 14.75 lakh. These adventure motorcycles will be available as completely built-up units (CBU) and the deliveries will commence from October 2024. Both bikes differ in terms of dimensions, weight and a few other aspects depending on their purpose. The standard F 900 GS is a more off-road-centric motorcycle while the Adventure trim is more of an all-rounder.
Ultraviolette F99 unveiled
Ultraviolette Automotive officially unveiled the F99 electric superbike in India. The F99 sits above the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 and has a bigger motor and a significantly higher top speed. The motorcycle will be aiming to set a new record for the fastest quarter mile and highest top speed for an Indian motorcycle. Under its racy bodywork, there is a 90kW motor that propels the bike from a standstill to 100kmph in just three seconds. With a kerb weight of 178kg, it can hit a top speed of 265kmph.
